Basic Rules

Objective

  • Be the first player to score 500 points by playing all your cards before your opponents.

Setup

  • Each player is dealt 7 cards.
  • The remaining cards form the draw pile.
  • The top card of the draw pile is turned over to start the discard pile.

Gameplay

  • Players take turns in a clockwise direction.
  • Match a card from your hand with the top card on the discard pile by color, number, or symbol.
  • If you can't match, draw a card from the draw pile. If playable, you can play it immediately; otherwise, the turn passes.

Winning a Round

  • When a player has one card left, they must say "UNO."
  • The round ends when a player has no cards left.

Special Cards

Action Cards

  • Skip: The next player is skipped.
  • Reverse: Reverses the direction of play.
  • Draw Two: The next player draws two cards and misses their turn.

Wild Cards

  • Wild: Allows the player to choose any color to continue play.
  • Wild Draw Four: The player chooses a color and the next player draws four cards and misses their turn. Can only be played if no other card is available.

Scoring

Card Values

  • Number cards: Face value (0-9).
  • Skip, Reverse, Draw Two: 20 points each.
  • Wild, Wild Draw Four: 50 points each.

Calculating Scores

  • At the end of a round, the winner scores points based on the cards remaining in the opponents' hands.
  • The first player to reach 500 points wins the game.
